Do you have a few hours a week to spare and want to donate your time and energy to our NGO? Your skills can be put to good use – Handicap International values the contribution of all its volunteers, whether they help out occasionally or on a regular basis. Our work would not be possible without volunteers.
Being a volunteer means…
- …feeling useful by donating your time, and by sharing your knowledge and experience
- …defending a cause that is close to your heart
- …taking concrete action within a cohesive and supporting team
- …sharing and exchanging ideas in a convivial atmosphere
- …gaining insight into a humanitarian organization
- …remaining part of the workforce
- …sharing common values
- …creating a new network of relationships
Come help with our fundraising and/or public awareness efforts. We always need help leading up to and on the day of the big event.
Raising awareness in schools
Would you like raise awareness among elementary and high school students about the disability situation in developing countries or discuss the issue of landmines and cluster munitions? For individuals looking for a long-term volunteer commitment, this is an ideal opportunity for learning and discussing, and we provide all the necessary teaching aides. Some schools are interested in more than just a conference and go on to organize mini shoe pyramids.
Administrative and logistics support
We can always use a hand filing our publications, sorting through our photo exhibits, entering data in our systems, etc.
We are often in need of volunteer translators. Do you have a degree in translation or are in the final year of your studies? Do you work from home? We will work with your availabilities but depend on the deadlines you request. We are looking for individuals who can translate from French to English and vice versa.
If you are interested in one of these opportunities or if you would like to offer a service that was not mentioned above, don’t hesitate to contact us via our contact page.
